Setting up albums

Organize the gallery by moment or audience using albums, each with its own QR code and privacy settings.

On the free tier. Albums are an Essential-and-above feature — free galleries collect everything in one stream. Upgrade to organize photos into albums; see Free vs paid galleries.

Albums let you split a single gallery into named buckets — Ceremony and Reception for a wedding, Daytime and Evening for a party, Pre-Trip and On-Site for a vacation gallery. Every gallery starts with no albums and a single "All photos" view; you can add as many albums as the event needs from the host dashboard.

To create one, open the gallery's settings and use the "Add album" affordance. Each album takes a short name and an optional description. The order you create them in is the order they appear in the tab strip on the guest view; you can drag to reorder later.

Each album gets its own QR code that takes guests straight into that album when they scan. Useful for venue signage that's contextual to a moment — a Ceremony QR at the table cards, a Reception QR at the bar. Or you can keep using the gallery-level QR and let guests pick the album themselves before uploading; both flows work.

Albums can be made private — guests need the specific URL or QR to find them, and they won't appear in the album tab strip on the main gallery view. Combined with a per-album PIN you can also make an album protected so only guests with the PIN can view the photos inside it. Useful for sensitive moments (family-only ceremony shots, behind-the-scenes content for the host's own records) inside an otherwise public gallery.

Photos can move between albums after the fact, so it's fine to start with one or two and add more once you see what kinds of moments come in. There's a separate article on re-filing photos across albums if you need it.
