Closing uploads on a specific album

Set a cutoff so an album stops accepting new uploads at the right moment, while the rest of the gallery stays open.

~2 min read

For events that move in distinct phases — a ceremony followed by a reception, or a daytime session followed by an after-party — you can set a per-album upload cutoff so the earlier album stops accepting new uploads once the moment has passed. The rest of the gallery stays open as normal, and guests can keep adding to other albums.

You'll find the cutoff control on the album row in your host dashboard. Pick the date and time the album should close to new uploads and save — once that timestamp passes, guests trying to upload into that album get a clear "Uploads have closed for this album" message instead of a silent error.

Closing an album to uploads doesn't change what's already in it or what guests can see. The photos and videos already in the album stay visible to everyone who has access to the gallery; only the upload form stops accepting new contributions.

There's also a gallery-wide cutoff you can set on the gallery settings if you want every album to close at the same moment. When both are set, the earlier of the two wins for that specific album — uploads close as soon as either cutoff hits.
