Set up your first gallery

Create a gallery in a few minutes, from event name to first QR code.

~3 min read

Setting up your first PixVenu gallery takes about two minutes. Start by giving your event a name, then pick the event type — wedding, engagement, party, kids' party, business event, or memorial. The event type tailors the wording and seeds a fitting theme; you can change the theme later, so don't overthink it. Then add the event date and a short welcome message that your guests will see when they open the gallery on their phones.

Once the basics are saved, your gallery has its own private link and a printable QR code. Either one is enough for guests to upload — most hosts use the QR code on signage at the venue and the link in group chats or invitations.

A note on the date and when your link goes live. If your event date is today or in the past, the gallery goes live immediately and the link works right away. If the date is in the future, the gallery is scheduled: it goes live automatically about two weeks before the event, and until then anyone who opens the link sees a friendly "Coming soon" countdown instead of the photo grid. You can always flip it live early with Activate now, or set a specific go-live time with Schedule for later. See Why is my gallery already live? and How far in advance can I set up? for the full picture.

You can come back and edit the welcome message, the theme, and the privacy settings at any time, even after guests have started uploading. Nothing about your gallery is locked in by the initial setup.

If you'd like to test the experience before sharing it widely, send the private link to your own phone first. The guest flow is exactly what your guests will see — there's no separate preview mode to learn.
