Turning RSVPs on or off
Toggle the host invitation card from your gallery settings — past responses stay; new ones stop landing.

The "Collect RSVPs" switch lives in your gallery settings. It's a one-click toggle, reversible at any point, and doesn't touch any responses you've already collected.
Flip it OFF — what changes
- The RSVP form disappears from the guest gallery and the Coming Soon landing page. Guests who tap the magic link drop straight into the photo gallery (or the Coming Soon countdown, depending on status) with no RSVP affordance.
- The host detail page hides the RSVP responses card.
- Responses you've already collected are NOT deleted. They stay on file, you just don't see the card until the toggle goes back on. Same with the rsvps.csv export — the data is preserved.
- Notification emails stop firing because no new submissions can land.
- The photo gallery itself is unaffected — uploads, comments, downloads all continue as before.
Flip it back ON — what changes
- The form reappears for guests, including everyone who already RSVPed (they can update by re-submitting from the same email — the unique-by-email upsert overwrites their existing row).
- The responses card returns to the host detail with all prior responses intact.
When most hosts toggle it off
- After the RSVP deadline. Common with weddings — you've sent the printed save-the-dates, the deadline passed, you've already given your caterer a number. Turning off the invitation stops late-RSVPs from creating confusion without losing the responses you already have.
- Pivot to gallery-only. Some hosts initially set up the digital invitation, then realised they wanted PixVenu purely for photos and would handle RSVPs another way. The toggle un-couples the two without re-creating the gallery.
- Pre-launch testing. Toggling on briefly to verify the form, then off again until you're ready to share.
What we don't do automatically
- We don't email guests when you flip the toggle. The guest who tries to RSVP later just doesn't see the form.
- We don't delete prior responses. If you want a clean slate, delete responses individually from the responses card or the rsvps.csv export workflow.
Both transitions are revalidate-on-the-spot — the host dashboard reflects the change immediately, and guests on subsequent navigations see the new shape.
